The International Fossil Coral and Reef Society
The Society promotes and shares research on fossil corals, sponges, and reefs, and has done so for over fifty years.
The International Fossil Coral and Reef Society (IFCRS) was founded in the early 1970s under the name ‘The International Association for the Study of Fossil Cnidaria and Sponges’.
We host an international symposium every four years and an annual online Early Career Researcher symposium.
We are an all-volunteer society and free to join. We have a long history of being welcoming, supportive, and friendly, and many of our members have made lifelong friends and colleagues through the Society.
